v400 camera banding

Posted: 12-12-2004, 05:14 PM
I have a v400 and have noticed some banding on the bottom of pictures
taken on my v400. I know the cameras on phones aren't going to win any
photo contest, but does this kind of banding suggest a problem with the
camera on the phone?

Here is an example...

Others are more pronounced, others less, but when you see it, it shows
the same kind of thing on the bottom third. Is this because of low
light, or a problem with the sensor?

if it happens only around that equipment, it's some sort of interference.
Looks like a lot of electronics to generate broadband noise.

But if it happens all the time and else where, particularly outside, get
another phone.

Seems to happen in relatively low light. That was the only picture I
had I could easily post.

I have it too. I think this come from the phone adjusting the light level
and it does it by sections so if you thake the picture at the same momment
the phone is adjusting light level it can do this.
