Mp3's to E398

Posted: 12-09-2004, 11:49 PM
Hi I'm trying to use my PC to load mp3 files to my phone (E398) via
usb cable
I have Motorola usb modem drivers installed along with Motorola usb
drivers
I have MPT, p2k and pst loaded to my system(win98 SE) but you
shouldn't need these anyway should you?
I mean what is supposed to happen is that, when you make your memory
card the default connection on your phone, it should show up as a
removable hard drive icon on the desk top or my computer.
Mine doesn't it tells me new hardware detected, but can't find the
drivers for it, because the wizard asks me to specify
where to find the drivers from, and I don't know
I've tried searching for them on the windows cd, in folders that come
with p2k pst but nothing,
also just can't get any of the mentioned software to work with the
phone.
MPT tells me that there's no modem installed when I know that there
is.
could anyone tell me what it is I need to do to solve these problems?
Thanks in advance

You're correct in saying that the phone should be recognised as a removable
drive (which is does in Win2K/XP). I'm not too sure as to Win98's automatic
detection of generic mass storage devices.

My advice would be to get in touch with Moto and see what they say.

Contact info via the website www.hellomoto.com

Hope this helps.
