Suggestions for a USB Bluetooth Dongle for a V505

Posted: 12-04-2004, 05:47 PM
There's a lot of USB Bluetooth Dongles available, I was wondering if anyone
can suggest a good one that will work well with the V505? I want to use it
with my PC to transfer pictures, ringtones, and sync the Outlook Calendar if
that's possible.

Thanks in Advance,
Len

Belkin works fine with Windows XP SP2.

I purchased one on Ebay ... no brand name and it works fine. I paid
approximately $15 counting shipping.

So which "cheapies" and sellers are the better "cheapies" and sellers on
eBay?

See ebay item #5736197839. This is the one I bought from the same seller.
I'm pleased with both the device and the seller.

Thanks,

Looks good but I have one question. This one and all the others that I've
seen online seem to be so wide as to interfere with the USB port that would
be next to it. Is this the case, or do they come with a cable that would
connect the device farther away from the PC?

The one I mentioned is no thicker than a USB plug so would be no problem in
tight quarters. An extension cable can be bought for a buck or two if
needed.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I jumped over to eBay and saw a
Kensington USB Bluetooth adapter model 33085 ending in a few minutes, so I
ended up getting it for $15 including shipping. I hope that I didn't screw
up because I saw a couple bad reviews, afterwards, on another site. A few
people had a difficult time installing it in an XP SP2 computer, but I still
have SP1, we'll see.

Thanks,
Len
