my trusted T720 inside screen is bad I have taken it apart to see how easy
it is to replace but I am worried that I wont be able to insert that tiny
ribbon cable does anyone know how its done?

Very carefully.
Seriously, by hand if you have small steady hands, or with a
tweezer/small pliers/forceps/etc.

It is possible thru that tiny slot in the hinge?
