V505, phone tools, and GPRS

Posted: 11-14-2004, 04:33 AM
I thought I had this problem solved. I finally got to the internet
using the free software from the ATT site and my v505. I also got
MPT to connect with my V505 to transfer files and syncronize data, I
just am unable to get MPT to connet to the internet. (I click on the
little "world" symbol" and it tells me that the modem is in use by
something else.) Does any one have any ideas? I have set it up as a
V500 and again as a v525.

Also when I connect using the ATT software (communications manager
4.0) I get only 56k is that normal (full signal on the phone
indicator.) It always shows up as a "dial-up" connection too. I
guess I just don't know what to expect or I doing it wrong, or may
both. If I use anything other than the ATT default in com manager 4,
I get a Ras error...

Thanks
John
