T731 syncing and transferring?

I have the T731. I bought a data cable and got some syncing an
transferring software -- none of which are working. My XP recognize
the phone as a modem, but I can get access to the phonebook, calander
or transfer wallpaper or ringtones. Any help is much appreciated fo
this cell phone newbie
