Motorola V300 Auto-Complete

Does anyone know how to turn off the "autocomplete" feature on the
above phone for text messaging? I get it no matter what entry method
I use. I'm not referring to predictive text, but to that annoying
feature that insists on changing "any" to "anything". Any help would
be appreciated.
