motorola i 730 nextel

Well, I tried to insert Sim card from another operater(T mobile) and the
cellphone wants me to enter some SPECIAL CODE , and say that the Subsidy
is Lock. So I am not shure what is the problem. Is it just problem in it
that this cellphone can not work at all with GSM SIM card ?
Can anybody explain me this please, thank you.

The Nextel phones operate on IDEN TDMA service and will not be usable with
your GSM Sim card.
