Anyone have experience with Bluetooth Wireless Adapter?

Posted: 09-04-2004, 10:07 PM
I've just gotten a Motorola e310 (CDMA 1X) & would like to use it with a
Palm Tungsten T3 for dial-up. My cell carrier doesn't support any
Bluetooth phones (hence the e310). I have found a Motorola Bluetooth
Wireless Adapter listed at
http://www.mobileplanet.com/product....62&listin g=1
and wondered if it works decently.

Does anyone have experience with using this adapter on the e310?

I have one for my T730. What it does is pretend to be a headset (via the
plug at the top of the phone) or a data cable or hands-free kit (via
the connector at the bottom). Since the phone has no knowledge about
Bluetooth, there is no user interface beyond the one button and the two
LEDs on the adapter. It looks a bit kludgy (with the wire plugging into
the headset connector), adds about one inch to the length of the phone,
and about 1 ounce to the weight. It works fine, except that it really
seems to put a drain on the phone's battery.

Unfortunately, I don't know if it works with your Palm (I am just using
it for a headset), but Motorola claims it works for data for the 310.
