Feed Back on Jabra 250 bluetooth headset

Posted: 08-17-2004, 07:57 AM
Hello all,

Tried searching, but there doesn't seem to be much discussion about the
Jabra 250 bluetooth headset. How does it compare to the motorola 810 or
820?

Any insight would be greatlly appreciated, especially experiences with the
V600.

I have a Jabra headset as well as a Motorola device. I would use the
Jabra in preference to the Motorola every time. Much more comfortable,
more reliable and easier to use.

That would be a problem for you then. I only have experience of the
Motorola and Jabra devices.

The Motorola sits on the outside of the ear (whereas the Jabra has a
rubber 'bud' that rests inside the ear).

However both have plastic clips that go around the outside of the ear to
hold the ear-piece in place. I would imagine that they could cause
problems depending on the construction of your hearing aid.

The Ericsson devices may be better for you but I haven't used them
myself.

The fit on the Jabra headset is much better than the Motorola headsets
(inside-the-ear vs. hanging on your ear).

Battery time on the Jabra headset is much better than the Motorola, I
sometimes go three or four days without recharging the Jabra 250.

BUT there is MUCH more interference with the Jabra 250. For some
reason Jabra can't seem to get rid of the interference on their
headsets. They are all plagued with the inability to be more than two
feet away from the phone without getting interference, unless it is
outdoors (in which case you have about 3 feet), or line-of-sight from
the phone.

If you try and wear your phone on the opposite side of your body as
the headset, the static will be unreal. The Motorola BT headsets and
HF speaker handle this impeccably.
