I have a 2 year old V60i on Verizon. Since day 1, the top half has had
side-to-side play in it when its closed. Its lived an easy life, but the
flip had definitely become looser over the two years. From reading the
forums, it seems to be a pretty common issue with the V60 line. The
current V60s and V60p still have it.
Its always bugged me because it just seems like shoddy construction.
However, aside from that and the useless battery indicator, the phone
has been a solid performer. I'm now eligible for a new every two credit
on Verizon, and was going to wait to have a look at the V715. Its a nice
upgrade and uses the same chargers as the V60i, so I'll save a few $
there. I am concerned that this phone will also exhibit the same loose
flip issue becasue it looks like the same hinge construction.
I'm not all that familiar with other Motorola flip phones but would like
to get an idea if other models (especially new ones)outside of the V60
line show this same issue.
