Making international calls on a V600

Is there a way to append the 011 to phone numbers in the phonebook
without actually editing the number to include it..? I don't always
need to dial the 011.

If you store the phone numbers as +<country code><number>, e.g
+448457484950 or +12125551212 they should work wherever you are.

Thanks. There don't appear to be any international calling
instructions with this phone.

Does the "+" symbol actually need to be part of the number string..?

[ Replied additionally by email as Larry J had emailed his post to me. ]

Yes it does. On my T280 and V500, you get it by pressing and holding 0.
