v300 ringer changes by itself?

I'm on my 2nd v-300 here, and I've noticed something about both of
them. If I set the phone to vibrate while I'm out and about, the next
morning, it's invariably set to "loud", and scares me half to death
when it rings.

Is that normal?

"scares me half to death
when it rings. "
