Are radiation shields any good?

Posted: 07-01-2004, 09:42 PM
I just purchased a Motorola V300 which is a great phone but seems to
rank at the high end of the radiation spectrum compared to other
phones. I have seen a lot of radiation shields being sold but my
question, how do they work exactly? Do they just fit over the phone?
As well, do they really work to reduce radiation?
Are there any downsides such as heavy weight or a harder to hold phone
or most of all, reduced range and signal?
Thanks for any help.
