Profesional Car Kit Install question

Hi. I just bought a used car from someone and the car has the Professional
Car Kit installation where a Star Tac phone was used with it.

I'd like to buy a new V400 phone, and I'm hoping that I can just replace the
hangup cup on it the Car Kit. From what I can see, looks like the V400 phone
won't work with the Star Tac hang up cup. I went to the local Cingular store
and they tried connecting a V400 to it, but it looks like the stub that fits
into the back of the phone doesn't line up.
