Okay, I think I'm getting a handle on this...

I'm refusing to believe it's impossible (or expensive) to
nuke the SP lock on this blasted thing.

It seems there were lots of people offering remote SP
unlocks as a service, but have been thwarted by
Moto taking some server or other offline?

I found one, claimed to be able to do it provided the IMEI's
in their database - which apparently ours wasn't...

So, does anyone here have a solution for this? Anyone with a VictorGSM
"batch" credit (or the Russian guys?) care to sell me one, assuming they
still work?

Or anyone have a calculator? I have a couple decent machines here
I don't mind if I have to let it crunch for a day or three to get an answer...

I have no idea how I'm going to get cash to you, I'm in Africa - but we
can cross that bridge when we come to it...
