BUG: mobile phone tools will not let you save an image to your phone at the right size/format

When trying to upload an image to my v400 phone as wallpaper, the size of
the screen is 176x220 pixels.
The phone supports JPG and GIF (verified with motorola, plus it can browse
the internet, so of course).
Every time I try to save a wallpaper image to the phone it converts it to
size 120 x 160 pixels and GIF! Not even proportionally correct at half size!
A VERY HELPFUL tech support person at motorola took it upon themselves as a
personal quest and tried it on ALL motorolas that use phone tools, and with
all provider (cingular, etc) software removed and the bug is still there!
So if you plan on uploading a desktop image, and having it appear clearly, I
guess you should wait for a newer version of phone tools.
Both the tech rep and I have sent emails about the bug to BVRP. Hopefully
they will address this issue.
