I've been converted! ;-) V525 ...

Posted: 03-02-2004, 11:09 AM
Hi All,

Many, many years now I've been a Nokia user. My latest phone is a
Nokia 7250 - But my contract is up and I'm taking the plunge and going
for a Motorola V525. I like the features and the look of the phone.

However......... I have used Oxygen Phone Manager 2 for the Nokia, for
backing up, sending text messages via the PC etc. etc. via InfaRed
Port. Is there any software like this for the Motorola? Does it come
with software?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Glen

Hi Bri

Is this likely to be expensive. I can get the V525 free.. don't mind
paying a little - Have you heard anything on price?

Been trying, but so far no luck
I saw somewhere £400 sim free, so on a contract it will be about £100 odd.

I know u can get the v525 free I did so for the missus and it's not a bad
phone...but, like i said you cant beat Nokia as u well know!!!

And then just a few months after that will be another newer and even better
phone from someone else...

Isn't innovation and competition a wonderful thing?

Jeremy.

ps no Bluetooth, smaller screen (v600 is half as large again) and no mp3
ringtone support for the nokia, don't like that hinge either.....

Neither
AND theres no need to be rude

Its simply a matter of choice as it is your choice to prefer Motorola

OK lets be petty

FM Radio(which can be used as alarm) Video playback and camera, voice
commands and recording( which can be used for ringtones)........it goes
on........can the v500 or 525 beat that? NO
Like i said its a matter of choice and taste
End of post

I would encourage you to avoid being petty.

It is, as you say, a matter of choice and I figure that the more
informed someone can be when they make a choice, the better. What
you've highlighted above are features that are not important to me.
They may be to Glen, however.

BTW, the v500/525 & 600 have a camera and voice commands. The v600
video record and playback.
