C450 - AT command to make voice calls

Does anybody know how to make voice calls using the Motorola C450 AT
commands? When i issue ATDxxxxxx, i only get NO CARRIER message.
I have tried both with and without the semi colon
and using AT+MODE=0 and AT+MODE=1.
When I hit the redial button after issuing the command from the
HyperTerminal, it dials properly. But i cannot make it dial from the
PC.
Any ideas?
