6800 XL Motorola Phone

Is there something special about the Motorola 6800XL AMPS mobile
phones? I notice they pull a nice price on eBay, and I thought this
model did some form of voice recognition (at the phone, not by the
carrier).

Is the 6800XL any different than the more typical 2900 phones?
