Request for help: ClipOn Organizer

Posted: 12-09-2003, 05:55 PM
Hello.

I hope someone can help me:

I have a clipon Organizer for which I've lost the connection cable
which is used to transfer data. If I remember correctly, this is a
serial cable with a standard DB9 serial connector at the PC end and a
two-conductor mini-plug at the Organizer end.

I've called Motorola along with local service centers...a replacement
cable is only sold bundled with the software (which I already have)
and is really expensive.

Can some kind soul out there who has one of these with a continuity
tester tell me which pins on the DB9 are connected to the tip/shaft of
the plug, so I can make one up?

Thanks very much!

Look on EBAY still lots of the Complete Organizer with Software and cable
For Less then $20, well less. Theres still a ton of them floating around. Im
sure if u contact a vendoe he would be smart enough to bail out on one.Thats
a worse case scenario option for ya.
Also, I just thought of another place that just may have cables. Try
