V8160, what network is it on?
Posts: n/a then changes to "ready". How do I tell what network it is on? Can it be used on other networks? The other phones I have seen say what network they are on, but this one does not. Thanks.  Responses to "V8160, what network is it on?"

Which became Frontier Cellular, and is currently operated by Verizon Wireless. Verizon may not be willing to activate a single band 800 MHz dualmode CDMA/AMPS phone, except on a Home Only, No Roaming basis (if at all). If you go through the menus again, and find "change NAM" or "change number", you can find its last assigned phone number. The SID you're seeing is the one you're receiving off-air (so you are in the Rochester area). If you were to enter the programming menu (not recommended without instructions), you could find the phone's Home SID. It easy to find the phone's home switch from the phone number, and see where it's come from. John C.
