sending photos

Hi has anyone managed to send photos from there motorola 720i to the
pc(email address) i have tried but dont know what i am doing wrong i dont
have the infa red setting and dont know what else to try. anyone got any
pointers for me. Can the photos be transfered maybe by data cable
All help will be much appreciated
