The setting does not change the view on messages already sitting in your inbox, but once you change the setting any new messages should show the sender rather than the subject. Hope that helps. Lofty
Re: T720i - Displaying the "sender" in the inbox Posted: 08-09-2003, 05:49 PM Hi,Tried what you recommended. No change I'm afraid. I still get the first line of the message. Any ideas? Re: T720i - Displaying the "sender" in the inbox Posted: 08-09-2003, 06:25 PM Mmmmm, just had another look at my inbox and it does seem a bit hit andmiss. Some messages have the first line and some have the sender. I don't know if it is something to do with the network they come in from or what. I'm going to keep an eye over the next few days and see if I can see a pattern. You are right though, not all messages have the sender shown. (I am on O2 as well by the way, and after recent troubles getting MMS to work between two T720's I would not be surprised if it is something to do with them). Re: T720i - Displaying the "sender" in the inbox Posted: 08-10-2003, 09:15 AM Will do. There must be a reason for it.Unfortunately I don't get many text messages so it may take a time to spot the pattern. Re: T720i - Sending MMS on O2 in the UK Posted: 08-13-2003, 10:04 AM NO.On O2 it seems that MMS messages CANNOT be sent between two T720i's. I cannot comment on whether it works between, say, two Nokias, but they did say on the phone to me that they had encountered a similar problem with customers trying to send MMS between two GD87's, but that is apparently resolved. I have successfully sent an MMS from my T720i to a Nokia somethingorother. > am i right in stating then that mms messages can only be sent between the > same handsets??? > > > "Lofty" <paulloft@btconnect.com> wrote in message > news:bhb4fr$j83$1@titan.btinternet.com... > > > > > > "Coop" <coop75MY@UNDIESblueyonder.co.uk> wrote in message > > news:ez1_a.3960$F36.32657440@news-text.cableinet.net... > > > Hiya people mine is the same i have changed to view sender and still it > > > displays first line of message > > > > > > U say u have had trouble sending mms too have you now resolved that > > > problem???? i also have this problem my phones says its sent but when > the > > > other person recieves and goes to open it says network error is this > their > > > side or a prblem with me????
