Motorola Connectivity Kit for v120c and PC?

Have used the subject with both a Motorola v120c and e with a Palm
IIIxe very successfully for some time. Now I have a need (though it is
very slow speed, I know) to use the cell phone and applicable cable
with a portable PC in a remote location (no phone lines) where I need
the PC rather than the limited use Palm to get on the Internet..

But I have no experience in using the cell phone and associated
cabling into the PC seriel port to use into the Verizon Internet
connection.

I have tried to follow the very limited info supplied with the kit to
get the PC to utilize it. I have loaded the applicable serial driver.
I tried to get the network connection to dial VZ (#777) using the
applicable ID and password which successfully works with the Palm
combo. But I can not get it to go through the initial handshake and to
stay connected for browser, email, etc. use. I do note that in the
Palm Comm Center program there is a reference to a PPP connection
whcih I do not find in the PC networking whcih shows IP/IPX.

Perhaps there are other things which someone who has used this combo
can point out to me to make it work properly. Would someone please
step me through the necessary setup for Win 95 notebook usage of the
dialer, etc. to get this combo to stay connected and be used on the
Internet?
