T-Mobile vs Verizon T720 Pictures

I downloaded the same picture on a Motorola T720i from T-mobile, and
then I download the same picture on a Motorola T720 from Verizon. The
T-mobile picture appeared smaller in the display window (even though
both were 120x160). The T-mobile picture also had a frame around the
picture and the Verizon picture did not. The Verizon image was
full-screen, however the T-mobile picture had white space around it
(along with the frame)

Does anyone know how to increase the picture size on the T-Mobile phone
to eliminate the white space? I’ve downloaded pictures in a jpg and gif
format, and both/all pictures have the white space around the picture.
Perhaps a setting I missed?
