Motorola V50 Data lead and softwear?

Just got my first laptop and would like to connect to the net to
collect emails ect while on the move I have a Motorola V50 mobile
phone that I would like to use with it. The problem is this I am
having trouble finding a data lead for it so I can connect it to my
laptop also once I have done this do I then need to install some kind
of softwear to make it all work ? If so where can I down load this
softwear and is it free from anywhere?
