THQ Wirelles Joust

The arcade classic Joust is coming along nicely, although the alpha version we tested went buggy shortly after playing. However, even at this developmental stage, Joust is probably the closest port of all of the upcoming Midway games coming this fall, rivaled only by Spy Hunter.

The “flap” button used to fly in the original is duplicated in mobile by pressing up on the D-pad, making one-handed gaming an option for an already minimalist game. Visuals are as crisp as the arcade, and the game speed seems accurate. It’s definitely one to look out for when the kinks get worked out.

Move down the high-wire blasting enemy tanks. Destroy tanks before they move into the city. Drop a grenade when a turret opens, but beware of bullets being fired at you. Jump off the wire when you see a zap moving towards you or get fried.

How it works :
1.Keep moving along the high-wire while blasting enemy tanks.
2.Destroy as many tanks as possible that seek to enter the city.
3.Try and dodge the bullets being fired at you or lose a life.
4.Drop grenades when the turret opens.
5.Jump of the wire when you see a zap moving towards you or get fired.
6.You have three lives in each level with four levels to complete your mission.
7.RIGHT or 6: Move Ahead.
8.LEFT or 4: Move back.
9.DOWN or 8: Hang by your feet.
10.FIRE or 5: Drop grenade.
11.UP or 2: Grab the wire again.
12.0: Jump on the tank or back on the wire.
