When you first boot up Ducati, you'll be given a choice between several clean-cut, bright-eyed racers--folks who might easily be models for the Italian bike company that has been recently thrust into prominence through its frequent product placement in films like Blade II. Every racer has a couple of lines describing his or her personality, and each one handles a bike the same way--like a champ.
Use the direction pad up and down or keys 8 and 2 to shift gears.
Acceleration is automatic so gear selection is very important.
To turn left and right use the direction controls on the pad or keys 4 and 6 to steer your bike.
To make your bike turn even sharper on tight bends, use the power slide by releasing the steering key and quickly pressing it again when turning.
If you successfully power slide the back end of the bike will kick out and a drift of smoke will come from your back tire, but be careful; sliding can be dangerous, as sliding for too long will cause you to lose control resulting in a crash.
