J2MEdit implements the VeriSign root certificate. If you experience installation issues related to authorization, verification, or security errors, your device may not support the VeriSign root certificate and you must download an unsigned version:

MIDP2-> wap.j2medit.com/m2u

The only difference with the unsigned version is that you will be prompted to grant permission to J2MEdit for accessing the internet.
