MP3Gain is a software that is useful to normalizes mp3 files, but does not use "peak amplitude" normalization as many "normalizers" do.
Audio files with very different peak amplitudes can still sound to the human ear as though they're the same volume.
Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.
Normalizing the mp3 does not degrade its quality
MP3Gain does not decode and re-encode the mp3 to change its volume. You can change the volume as many times as you want, and the mp3 will sound just as good (or just as bad!) as it did before you started.

Tags store ----ysis and undo information inside the mp3 itself. You no longer need to ----yze an mp3 more than once.
How to install MP3Gain with AACGain patch:
1. Unzip/extract "mp3gain-win-full-1_2_5.zip".
2. Run "mp3gain-win-full-1_2_5.exe", then install.
3. Unzip/extract "aacgain_1_5.zip".
4. Rename "aacgain.exe" to "mp3gain.exe", and move it into the MP3Gain folder, then replace (copying over the existing mp3gain.exe).
5. Enjoy with MP3Gain that should handle AAC files (.m4a or .mp4)!
Note: I usually gain my MP3 files to 99,0 dB. I think that is the best gain.
