Phone tracing

Posted: 11-15-2005, 07:10 PM
Hi

A mate at work has been getting nasty text messages which is casuing him a
few problems at the moment.
He has got the number but when he rings it is either ignored or turned off.
He has called orange and they said there is nothing they can do, he might
try going to the police but doent think they will be much good.
Is there any way he can find out who's phone it is from the phone number or
any way of tracing the location of the phone?

Thanks for any info

He should go the Police, the Police can ask the service provider for
the details of ownership and it will be provided. You can ask, but you
won't get anywhere. In most places, obscene or harassing calls are an
offense, and whlie Orange cannot do anything about it if you complain,
they can and will if it becomes a police matter.

Even better, if he can somehow spin the 'terrorist' word into his
complaint, that would unleash a horde of jack-booted thugs with the sole
intent of fucking someone over.
