Nokia 6260 or Mot Razr

Posted: 06-06-2005, 09:13 PM
Have been looking very closely at these two phones and will make a
decision today, but prior perhaps some of you knowledgeable people have
some thoughts. Amongst other questions:

1) Will use it with Cingular in the States and also travel to Asia &
perhaps elsewhere, so am looking at the 900/1800/1900 Nokia 6260. The
Razr is quad band so it's ok. But how well well/poorly does the 6260
operate in the States with Cingular as opposed to having the 850 MHz?

2) The only negative things I've read about the Razr is that the memory
is small and is not expandable and that the address book does not
contains street addresses. I believe the Nokia has both of those
covered. Additionally the Nokia does not have the "annoying" exterior
side volume buttons, which cannot be turned off with the Razr. And I've
read that the weak point of the 6260 is the rotating/flip hinges that may
break, but not so with the Razr.

Would appreciate your thoughts as to these as well as any other
knowledgeable input you may have. Thank you,
Miles

Thoughts:

A guy at the office REALLY wanted a Razr - I got one for him and had a
play with it when it arrived.

It is a VERY sexy looking 'phone - I mean this thing is REALLY well
styled.

The memory is pants and not expandable - and this was the main
drawback for me.

I wouldn't swap a Razr for my Nokia 6600.

Depends what you want - if you USE 'phones like I do then go for a
Nokia - but if you just "use" 'phones and want to look cool then go
for the Motorola.
