International MMS?

Posted: 01-15-2005, 08:28 PM
Hello All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to send a picture MMS to somebody in
another country and get it delivered on the phone? I live in holland and
my girlfriend will be in australia for a year. She got herself a
membership with australian vodafone and got a camera phone with it.
Fun. :-) But my current Nokia 8210 phone doesn't have MMS capability so
when she sends me a picture MMS I get a text SMS that I can go to the
vodafone website to see it.

Now I wonder if I would get myself a picture MMS phone, if I would get
the MMS on my phone or would I still get that SMS telling me to go to a
website to see it. The reason I doubt that it works is because I
remember in the early days you couldn't send a MMS from one provider to
another. That works now but how about international MMS? So far none of
the shops (vodafone, kpn, orange, etc.) can assure me that it works,
they say "maybe".. does anyone know this?

Bye

It would probably be a lot easier and cheaper to get her to send the MMS
to your email address rather than your mobile number. I have tried to
send and receive MMS to New Zealand from here in Australia in the past
with no success.

The views stated by me are my own and have nothing to do with any
organisation I belong to, so the prick that tried to slander me can get
FUCKED because it didn't work!

Darn that isn't very promising. Send to email is an option but the fun
would be to send it to the other that's the whole idea of MMS I believe.
Maybe in time they will fix that.
