Are there any four band GSM mobiles available that cover 850, 900, 1800 and
1900 MHz ?

The new Motorola V600 does. I don't know of others right off hand.

Thanks for all of the suggestions - I'm following up on which ones are
available here in New Zealand. I've found a Motorola V525 that's quad band
but I find it visually unappealing.
