Broadband is a term that is commonly used to describe the available
bandwidth in the data pipe. While it is debatable what is considered
broadband, it is generally accepted that ADSL (offering 512K down and 256K
up) is broadband (I suppose compared to the bandwidth available with
dial-up).
Base-band is a term that is commonly used by cellular engineers to refer to
the received signals that has been down-converted from its Radio Frequencies
(RF) so that a microprocessor or digital signal processor can process it.
Likewise for the transmit signals before it has been up-converted to RF.
Again it is debatable what is base-band, but IMO, anything sub 100MHz can be
comsodered base-band these days given the massive processing power avaiable
in your 2.5G and 3G phones. In the final analysis, I suppose what is
baseband will largely depend on the application.

Checkout the 3G cellphones.

Probably.
