The browser uses Rapid-Render, which is an incremental rendering technology that significantly accelerates the presentation of web pages, and Smart-Fit Rendering, a rendering technology that intelligently renders web pages to fit the screen width of mobile devices, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling.
The document is intended for content developers for Sony Ericsson phones. The main purpose is not to instruct the reader how to write HTML and XHTML content, but to describe how the phone browser interprets tags and attributes.

These guidelines describe the implementation of OMA Client Provisioning and Device Management functionalities in Sony Ericsson phones with Device Management Client version 5.0 or higher.

With OMA Client Provisioning v1.1 it is possible, for example, for an operator or service provider to configure (bootstrap) the terminal with settings for different applications in phones (browser, email, streaming, OMA Data Synchronization, Device Management, Wireless Village and so on).

OMA Device Management is based on the same technology as OMA Data Synchronization (formerly known as SyncML Data Synchronization). The main difference is that, while OMA DS synchronizes two or more sets of data in two or more devices, OMA Device Management updates client device configuration settings from data stored on one specific server.

Occasionally developers may bump in to problems installing applications on the Satio device. It displays rather cryptic error messages like: "Cannot install application .." with no clear error code, or some other error codes.

In that case it may be the DRM clock that shows wrong time, or is not set at all from the start. Then the DRM time needs to be set accurately.

Depending slightly on which customizations that is loaded on the device there are two ways two set the system clock - try one and if that fails, try the other.

It is only Step 1 that differs.

Set DRM clock, version 1

1. Start DRM Encryptor.
Main Menu -> My Apps -> DRM Encryptor

2. From this application, choose button Options -> DRMClock time

3. This should then show the Date and Time. IF the DRM Clock time is incorrect and does not show the current date, then goto step 4. Otherwise - goto step 8.

4. Button Options -> Set DRMClock time

5. Enter correct date and time.6

6. A message saying DRM ClockTime is then displayed

7. It should then be possible to install the SIS file properly

8. Finished

1. Build and sign the application to debug. Use Build for phone debug.

2. Load the application to the phone and verify that it starts properly.

3. Close the application on the phone.

4. Pair the Satio device with the PC over Bluetooth.

5. Start the TRK software on the phone. (On ODS phones it is started using Menu -> Organizer -> My apps -> TRK)
The TRJ software is an application that handles the debug communication to and from the PC.

6. Create a debug configuration in Carbide for the concerned project.

7. Make sure that it uses the Bluetooth connection is set in the debug configuration. NOTE: If more then one BT COM port is enabled, use the one indicated by TRK. (Example: If TRK on phone says port 1, use the COM on the PC with the lowest port number)

8. Make sure no files are transferred in the transfer tab in the carbide configuration.

9. Start debugging and set breakpoint. The application should now start.
