In most cases you'll need to connect to a BES or MDS. If your Blackberry is a newer device you may be able to connect using an APN.

only if you subscribe to hotmail 'paid subscribtion'.
i have seen a software on the net for around 30 usd which have messenger for msn and yahoo as well.
