Carbide.ui S60 Theme Edition 3.1 for Symbian OS
After downloading the theme studio, follow the instrution below.
Important thing to remember while Installing theme studio.
__________________________________________________ _______
While Instaling theme studio, you will be asked about Java option. There will be two options: 1) share or use the java program already available in the computer 2) Install New java for this program (erm..i haven't typed it in the exact words as the software..but still you'll know once you see it)
Choose the second option (second i listed here.i dont know in what order it will appear in installation..so choose the appropriate option) Install New java again!
If everything is smooth...then okay! Installation part completed! Now we can move in to the themeing part.
Themeing Part
You actually no need to open theme studio to do the idle screen (Front screen) and background screen. Let me explain you how to do it in a simple way. All the second generation S60 phone got the same screen size 176x208 pixels. So have a look at the preview images i've shown..they all of the same dimension.

You can use any of these images as reference images everytime you create theme. Let me start this tutorial with an assumption that you already know to use some basic features of photoshop (im doing this tut with photoshop).
Step1: Open the preview image in photoshop and drag the line (from the ruler) and place it as showin the image. You can clearly see the lines seperate the status area, wallpaper area and Control area. Now the area between the lines will be the place to work with wallpaper.

Okay, in this tutorial, im gonna us this image of 'Aishwarya Rai' (former Miss world) and create a theme based on that.
