Doesn't connect.

I have a laptop with a USB plugged in Bluetooth device which works as I have
no problem in linking the laptop to the Bluetooth installed in my Car.
I also have a Bluetooth phone - Sony T610 which links without any problems
to my Car.
Yet I cannot link the Mobile phone to the laptop.
Any suggestions anyone please?
