Any loud bluetooth headsets?

Posted: 03-29-2006, 06:43 PM
Hi,

I have a Blackberry 7290, and am having trouble getting a regular wired
hands-free that's loud enough to hear comfortably in the car. I was
thinking of getting an amplifier for it, but am wondering if any
bluetooth headsets go loud -- I figure if they have a battery, maybe
they can go a bit (or a lot) louder than a normal wired earpiece.

Any advice or thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I have a Motorola HS850. Some say it isn't loud enough for them,
but I'm somewhat hard of hearing and I have to turn mine down at
times.

I needed to boost the volume and found two references, they both help.

The volume on the phone also adjusts the volume on the HS850, so the
volume controls are in series.

Then I tried modifying the internal files and procedure at
http://www.xlr8.us/hofo/.

It took downloading a bunch of files and following the prodedure exactly.
But by boosting the Bluetooth volume from 08 to 0F it make a lot of
difference.

It is a little scary, make a back up copy of your files before you start.

Now I am going to try to cast an ear mold to better position the speaker.

Thanks guys.
