I just upgraded one of my computers to XP SP2 (PRO), and did all the updates
to that.
I have a USB Bluetooth adapter, that functioned fine on that computer
before.
Before doing the upgrade to SP2, I uninstalled the existing Widcomm
Bluetooth software, as I thought with SP2 I'd give the Microsoft Bluetooth
stack a try.
Now, after upgrading to SP2, I plug in the USB BT adapter, and nothing
happens. I look in Device Manager, and it does not appear.
There is no Bluetooth Control Panel in Control Panel. I type in "run" the
file name of that panel, and nothing happens. I find that .cpl file in
Explorer, double-click on it, and nothing happens.
I tried :"Add Hardware Wizard", in different ways, couldn't get it to work.
What's going on?
