Problems with Belkin F8T009 and PC Suite

I'm brand new to Bluetooth (but not to computers :-) and I'm looking
for help with a problem.
I installed the Belkin software and updated the driver for XP SP2 as
instructed. System Info tells me that there are two Bluetooth stacks:
Microsoft V.5.1.2600.2800 and WIDCOMM V.3.0.1 Build 912. The version
of Nokia PC Suite is 6.6.9 and the phone is a Nokia 6230i. For some
reason Device Manager tells me I have three Bluetooth ports om COM9,
COM10 and COM11. This doesn't seem right to me!
I can establish apparent connectivity and the phone is shown as
paired. If I use establish Bluetooth connectivity after booting the
PC, evertything works. However if I turn off the Bluetooth device in
the system tray and turn it back on later, it tells me that my phone
*is* connected, PC Suite tells me it's connected but if I then try to
get PC Suite to do anything, it either does nothing at all or locks up
the PC completely and not even Task Manager can stop it.
After rebooting the PC, everything works again. Is this to be
expected? I really would appreciate some help!
I'm none too impressed with PC Suite anyway; any comments about
Oxygen's software? Must I uninstall PC Suite before installing Oxygen?
Regards
