Mercedes Benz and Motorola v330 phone. Cant they just get along?

My wife has 2005 Mercedes C 240 which we are trying to hook up with
her Motorola v330 cell phone. When we called Mercedes dealership they
told us that we needed to buy a Mercedes phone for $500 and a $200
cradle to get it to work with the factory car kit AND you have to go
with Version. This is outrageous.

Anyone know of a workaround to get a Mercedes-Benz to talk to
bluettooth enabled phones?
