Best PC USB Adaptor

Posted: 06-23-2005, 11:57 PM
I hope this is the right place to ask this. I have a Motorola V551
phone and am interested in getting a USB Bluetooth Adaptor for my PC
and laptop. I actually did buy the linksys adaptor but it's extremely
unreliable. From the reviews I read at the time though it was one of
the best ranked adaptors but it does seem to have a lot of issues with
SP2.
Now months later I decided to get another one to replace this. Yet
when reading reviews of models such as the D-Link, Belkin, Kensington,
etc. I see some good reviews but a lot of bad reviews.
Then I read about this new one called the IoGear GBU311. For one
thing it's newer than the others and even though the others are older
as well they haven't had the drivers updated for quite awhile.
Another thing, this supports V1.2 of bluetooth where the others are
V1.1. I see 4 reviews on amazon which are great but I don't know this
company well at all. Anyone have any opinion on this or other
adaptors?

I use the D-Link SBT-120 on a Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro's USB 1.1
port and it works with a Motorola v600; although a Motorola USB OEM
cable (available cheaply on eBay) works better.

the usual recommendation in here is the TDK unit.

I bought the 3com a while ago & thought it was crap.
Maybe they have improved it.
