BT Worked then Stopped

I have the Xterasys BT dongle with Widcomm software. I installed it on my
XP-Pro SP2 system. It worked flawlessly for two or three weeks, then one
day when I booted up, it said "cannot start BT stack service". Haven't
gotten it to work since (uninstall/reinstall). Any ideas
