Bluetooth CF card

Posted: 01-19-2005, 12:09 AM
I'm looking for a Bluetooth CF card *which works* with the Microsoft
Windows XP Service Pack 2 Bluetooth drivers (i.e. no requirement to use
manufacturers drivers). I've found out that both Belkin and Socketcom
manufacture these CF cards but I cannot find any information which
mentions whether either fall within my requirements. Does anyone know of
a card that does?

Thanks.

I have the impression the Windows Bluetooth drivers are qualified for USB
adapters only:

The Socket one needs it's own drivers (I think - at least XP didn't find
mine). It is very nice how it fits flush into your laptop when used with
a standard CF adaptor though; this was a major selling point for me, I
now have a couple of them even though they are expensive compared to
generic Chinese stuff.

I couldn't find anything relating to your comment at the URL specified;
however I cannot be sure it is correct since I know for a fact that the
bluetooth module inside the Sony TR series laptops functions with the
Microsoft Windows XP SP2 bluetooth drivers. Perhaps this module is
similar to Sony's Bluetooth USB adapters.

Has anyone got a CF Bluetooth card working with Microsoft's drivers
only?

Several of the listed devices are named as "integrated" - at least those are
motherboard devices even though they are actually connected internally to
the USB bus internally. But... no CF cards explicitly listed...
