IBM Thinkpad T40p BT Connection problem

My problem is this:

My T40p laptop has internal Bluetooth. I have the IBM Widcomm 1.4.3.4
drivers installed. I have a Motorola V505 Cell phone.
All was working fine and I have done nothing to the laptop.
Today when I tried to move photos from the phone to the laptop via OBEX File
Transfer I get an error message saying: "Error Establishing Connection"

After the error message I uninstalled the BT and reinstalled. No change.
I did try a simple file transfer using the Microsoft driver and that worked
HOWEVER this driver is so limited as to be useless.
Before today I could move addresses from Outlook but that is not working.
There are 4 services associated with this pairing (and yes they pair fine):

OBEX File Transfer
OBEX File Push
Dial Up Networking
Voice Connection

Only the voice connection links and works fine.

Can someone suggest a solution?
