I had the same problem with my HS820. It seems that the charger went
bad after a couple of weeks so the unit could never be recharged and
just died a slow death...
Seems to be a problem with that model. I suggest you return it for a
refund if possible.

I called Moto CS on 0870 901 0555 and they arranged a exchange by post
