green light on in the dongle

I do have other usb devices which all work fine and i've tried staring my

Since you have more than one USB device connected, are you using a USB HUB?
Bluetooth dongles don't go well with HUB. Try moving it to a USB port on
your computer if this is the case.

Does it come on steady, or blink off and on?? Usually if it's on steady that
indicates that a driver is missing or screwed up. When it's plugged in and
operating properly it will normally blink. If you don't get the 'USB
connected' sound, it also indicates that something is amiss. Have you tried
a different USB port? Also, make sure that you are not going through a hub,
though I go through a hub on mine with no problem, but generally it's better
not to.

the green light on the dongle stay on steady. And i've tried all four USB
ports on my PC even with the all other USB ports free. I'm starting to
think the problem with the dongle since it never makes the 'USB connected
sound', and i've it in a number of different window PC.
Thanks for you help

Is this a VIA motherboard? If yes, how old is it?
